Sunrise, Inc. is happy to offer all of the following activities for veterans at no cost to participants. If you are interested and qualify for any of the following programs, please contact Sunrise right away for our registration paperwork. Your spot in the program will not be reserved until the necessary paperwork is completed and returned to Sunrise, Inc.

Sunrise, Inc. offers horseback riding and horsemanship lessons and activities for veterans. There are many benefits to this kind of recreational therapy, including:

-Physical benefits can include improved posture, balance, and flexibility along with increased muscle tone and stamina. Horseback riding is a low-impact exercise that works the whole body.

-Cognitive benefits can include improved multi-tasking skills, better emotional control, increased sequencing skills, and improved memory.

-Emotional benefits include a sense of well-being and inner peace.
